ΘΗΒΩΝ – ΑΧ

ΘΗΒΩΝ – I ALWAYS HAD AN APORIA (2023)

A LECTURE PERFORMANCE

The presentation of my work includes signs made to be placed on the street of ΘΗΒΩΝ, photos of others that were placed and a catalog – book with texts and photos describing my steps and my thinking process.

Walking and recording is my main methodology. The research follows.

My main theme is the city walk. In a city with discontinuities in space and time.

Sometimes the wanderer stands and looks at himself. He is the contemporary flâneur.

The street of ΘΗΒΩΝ is treated by the wanderer as a text.

The text of the city.

In this text I intervene with my own words, little thoughts, my own text.

The simple thoughts of the moment, mimic the aesthetics of the existing labels, do not invent anything new and often go unnoticed.

The street of ΘΗΒΩΝ is real but also an imaginary space on the urban map that produces narratives open to all of us, that include all of us.
